This application translates words in principal by using Esperanto as auxiliary language (unless Esperanto itself is the source or target language). In this way words from every language can be translated to every other language without the need of a wordlist for every possible language combination. The disadvantage is however that translations are not always accurate; sometimes they are even indisputably wrong.
But for finding the meaning of an unknown word in a foreign language this application is a useful tool, especially if the context of that word is known. But if you yourself want the use a word given as a translation we advise you to first check whether it really is an appropriate translation.
As for translations that are found by searching bilingual wordlists of third parties, we can only say that generally their accuracy seems to be rather good.
